On this mission KNM Otto Sverdrup heads for the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard, during its mission it also monitors a large Russian naval exercise. KNM Otto Sverdrup is one of 5 new frigates for the Royal Norwegian Navy. Most of the navy has been modernized the last 10 years and are to day one of the worlds most modern navies. It dispatches 70 ships, from light armor to heavily armed ships, including submarines.
