NAVANTIA ENTREGA LA FRAGATA “HELGE INGSTAD” A LA MARINA DE NORUEGA

Noruega recibe la cuarta fragata de la serie de 5 que este país encargó a Navantia en el año 2000
Navantia ha entregado el día 29 de septiembre, en sus instalaciones de Ferrol, la fragata F-313 “Helge Ingstad” a la Marina de Noruega, en presencia del Jefe de la Armada del país nórdico, el Almirante Haakon Bruun-Hanssen, y del Presidente de Navantia, Aurelio Martínez Estévez.
El acta de entrega ha sido firmada por el Director del Astillero Fene-Ferrol, Ángel Recamán, y el Director General de NDLO, el General Trond Karlsen.


Tras la firma, el Jefe de la Armada Noruega ha pasado revista a la tripulación y los asistentes, una vez embarcada la tripulación, han podido subir a bordo de la “Helge Ingstad”.
La F-313 “Helge Ingstad”, que debe su nombre al famoso explorador noruego del siglo XX, es la cuarta de las cinco fragatas idénticas de la clase F-310, encargadas por la Marina de Noruega a Navantia. Fue botada el 23 de noviembre de 2007, siendo madrina Kristin Ingstad Sandberg, bisnieta del explorador.


Las principales características técnicas de estos buques, que están equipados con el sistema de combate norteamericano Aegis, son:


- Eslora total: 123,25 m.- Manga máxima: 16,80 m.

- Puntal a la cubierta principal: 9,50 m.

- Desplazamiento a plena carga: 5.130 t.

- Calado de diseño: 4,90 m.- Dotación: 146 personas


Este programa, cuyo contrato se firmó en junio de 2000, fue en su día el mayor contrato de exportación de la historia de la construcción naval militar en España y dotará carga de trabajo al astillero Fene-Ferrol hasta finales de 2010, fecha de la finalización del programa.
